We have offered a ‘young entrepreneur’ scholarship for our TNG Business Escalator Course to Ben Male of Inbound.

Inbound is a small boutique marketing startup that’s changing the way kiwi businesses grow online. Ben’s background is in sustainability and personal fitness.  He is a CrossFit East Auckland coach and has been since 2014.  Before then Ben was an intern and before that an athlete. Ben’s background in sustainability stems from his years at Auckland University – studying a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors in Management.

Surprisingly with management, there’s a bunch of ethics and sustainability papers: these grabbed Ben’s interest and quickly became his focus. He graduated in 2014, and in 2015, he co-founded Blue Cars, an electric car-hire company. At the end of 2015 he jumped on board with a colleague Steven to run his free-lance SEO business, BigBangly. Since then, they’ve shifted and formed Inbound, and now runs that as an Inbound Marketing Agency.

Ben says “This year has been a huge learning curve for me, and I’m keen to push harder, learn more, and create even better results! I’m really pumped to have the opportunity to do TNG’s Escalator Program, I know it’s going to help me so much. Looking forward to it!”

Hannah has a passion for making small improvements in the mental health space, specifically around awareness and suicide prevention, and has made it a focus this year to bring access into the local community by starting wellness events / seminars.

BIO: I am a mortgage broker/adviser based in Auckland. It really doesn’t have to be like that! Let’s take a look at some examples… Have you ever been told you must go to the gym to lose weight – well what if you hate the gym? Or you should run for 30 minutes or don’t bother – what if you hate running or don’t have 30 minutes up your sleeve? You might have been recommended a DIEt because it worked for that person – you may think the food in that DIEt is yuck, so why would you? Maybe a pill to help you lose weight (burn fat) – did you take one to gain weight… NOO. You already know the answers to these questions, they’re all just common sense so keep it simple and ignore the confusing jargon out there.
